Last week was a national holiday in Japan. Siffi had time of work and Margret had time of kindergarten. We decided to stay at home instead of travel and we had such a good week together :)
First we went to Haji Dam Sports Park for a fun day out. It was so hot and we couldn't use the slides and swings since they were too hot. But we had a picnic with us and we found a spot in the shadows near a stream and had some good time :)
Later in the day we drove to Hiroshima City to go to a book store Siffi's sister had told us about. It was great and we bought a lot of books :) On our way home we stopped for our favorite Japanese dinner, Yakiniku.
We have had so much more fun on our vacation.
For example we drove throw our first thunderstorm, we bought a kiddy-pool for Margret and she has had many fun afternoon in it. We also went to a summer festival in a village close by, Obara. It was so much fun, and such good food. There were a lot of tents by locals selling different kind of food, mostly BBQ. What a delicious selection. There were entertainment by local kids doing traditional Japanese dancing and singing, we go so much authentic Japanese experience in this one afternoon :)
This weekend at the end of the vacation we had so much fun going to a fruit farm picking fruit, going to a water slide in the hills and much more. More on that later :)
Now that Siffi is back to work and Margret back to Kindergarten I have some time for sewing and drawing again. Of course I also have a lot of housework to do after a week of fun, but that is too boring to write about :)
