On the road again. On our way to Kochi to watch Wakunaga play tomorrow. It doesn't look very far on a map but it is quit a trip. Specially when the route you had planned gets closed for reasons you don't understand. When we had driven to the shore we had to go across seven small islands. They were so beautiful and I am already planning to take our summer holiday there. Then when we came to the island Kochi is on, which I can never remember the name of, things started to get tricky. When I was on the highway doing about 120 km/h suddenly the police came up behind us with full light and sound and yells over the microphone and everything. We all thought they were stopping me for speeding, and I was thinking "but I am going the same speed as everyone else!" But them they stopped right in front of us and signaled us to turn of the highway. GREAT. What now. But a great gentleman at the toll gate helped us. We went through the most boring place in Japan and after about 10 KM we went to the highway again and straight away we saw a sign for Kochi highway, hurrah. NO, there was a man there standing in the middle of the road with about hundred of blinking cones, No entry on to Kochi highway. We went on and let MAPS in the iPhone recalculate and found route 32 through the narrowest mountain pass ever, with snow coming in heavy. But finally we made it to the beach city of Kochi, with palm trees along the roads and everything on the way was suddenly worth it :)
In true Icelandic fashion we checked in, got rid of our bags and got out to the shopping street in record time :) Then we contacted Siffi to see if he wanted to join us for dinner :)
Now it is time for bed. Tomorrow we will do some exploring in the morning and then watch the game at 1. I think we have a good day ahead of us :)
