I can't believe it is only two weeks since my first japanese lesson. There was no lesson last week because of a holiday so today was my second lesson. I am doing okay. I am halfway through Hiragana, which means I can read a little. I have a wonderfull teacher who teaches hiragana to 1st graders at school here. She came by this week with a exercisebook for me. She had translated it all to english even tho she does not know it alot. This is a good example of how kind and helpful japanese people are. They are always eager to help and please, even tho they can't understand a word of I am trying to say. But I can feel I am getting more confidentnin the few words I know in japanese and grow bolder every day using it.
I also went for a walk today and desided to take a diffrent route than usually because I am so set in my ways and I need to explore more. I found a wonderful path just next to our house along the river and tomorrow I am taking Margret there. There were people painting the aurumn colours in the landscape and some old ladies drinking tea on the side of the path. I think its time for anither picnic :)
I also managed to make some chicken meatballs that will be ready for obento lunches this week as well as asparagus in bacon.
And finally I made some Christmas cards :)
