We are always experiencing something new here in Japan. Tomorrow we will have been here for a year (Siffi a little longer) but there is always something surprising and new to see, eat, hear ...
Today when I was walking to pick up Margret at the kindergarten our lovely neighbor, an old lady with a big vegetable garden who is always giving us something, stopped me for a little chat. I can not really hold up a conversation in Japanese but I can chat a little by now. I was complimenting her on her beautiful garden and how hard working she is keeping it beautiful and everything growing to fast. She started to talk about some flowers I don't know the name of and asked if I like to eat them. I always say YES because I don't want to be rude. She cut some flowers for me and then I went my way to pick up Margret. On your way home she biked to catch up with us and gave us some tomatoes.
So here is one more vegetable picture, just to let you see :)
The flowers have little part of them that is very sweet but the rest is not eatable. It was nice to try something new :)
