Finally I finished this cross-stitching picture.
Now I just need to get it framed, but I think that can wait until I get back to Iceland in a year :)
Siffi is away for two days, Margret is already asleep. I think I will get my sewing machine from the closet and do some mending tonight :)
Now week three has started with Margaret at the kindergarden and me home alone. I have to admit it has been harder than I thought. I have been so focused on getting her to kindergarded to be with other kids that I didnt really stop to think what I would be meanwhile. I didnt have a plan ready and I just got a little lost. Now I am getting back on track. I have been walking longer walks everyday, going the housework and some of the things I like to do, for example sewing. But it is still new, I think it will take even more time to get totally used to having the house for myself for so much.
Few things have come much easier after I had more time. Taking care of myself is one. I have been eating better and walking more. Now that I am getting more used to this, I am making plans and schedules. I find that I like to start the day of with some excersise. So Siffi had the idea I would join him in bringing Margret to the kindergarden three times a week and then go to the gym and then either walk home afterwards og take the car. I think this is a very good idea, I think I need a scedule.
I am forever grateful for the support and understanding Siffi shows me. I know I can do what ever with him and Margret at my side ;) So now it is, once again, time to start taking better care of myself, both for me and the people around me :)
Book bag for Margret to take to kindergarden.
Of course it is Hello Kitty ;)
In other news Margret is doing great at kindergarden. This morning us parents could go to "class" with the kids. It was so much fun to see their rutine and habits :) Margret was in her element, she doesnt speak much japanese but she understands alot.
A very good day :)
Summer is here and then you need summer clothes. So I have been sewing, but not for me, and here are some pictures ...
Okay its 9:26 and I have alraedy done two loads of laundry and hang it up to dry. I have vacuum and scrubbed the floors. I have done the dishes and tidied up Margret's room. What now?
Well I think I MUST go for a long walk in the beautiful weather, just to do something
What a great weekend :)
Yesterday morning we went for a walk in Wakunaga garden. It is so beautiful and the cherry blossoms where flying everywhere :)
After the walk around this beautiful garden we went to a local restaurant for lunch, and then hone for a nap :)
For dinner we went to Hamasushi in Miyoshi. That is always fun and Margret lives the hamburger sushi :)
For desert Siffi tryed Chocolate and butter fries !!!! I was full!!!
Then today we went to a Brazilian BBQ :) that was great. Nice people, great food and wonderful sienery.
It was held in Koriyama park. That is close to a place Margret and I went to few weeks a go, in Yoshida. It is beautiful.
Margret difnt want to wesr anything except her new Helli Kitty rain boots, it was 18C and sunny !!!!
Our friend Kaz manned the grill and everyone brought some sidedish or desert. I brought some cookies :)
So we went home and had a nap. In the afternoonmargret was still tired after an active weekend and Siffi's cold has gotten worse so we just stayed home. For dinner we had japanese styled hamburgera, no bread just rice on the side of the meat ;)
Now its a new week beginning, Margrets first fyll week at kindergarden. It will ve interesting to see how it goes, both for her as well myself :) more on that later.
Yesterday when Margret woke up we went for a walk since I knew it would rain today and we wouldnt get a change for a long walk today.
But this was yesterday and as the forcast predicted it rained all day. That didnt stop me from getting Margret from the kindergarden walking, even if all the umbrellas are in the car, which Siffi had at work. I think everyone that met me thought I was crazy, walking in the heavy rain with no umbrella, just a hat to keep my hair dry. Then when I dressed Margret in her Icelandic rain suit the ladies at the kindergarden had never seen anything like it. Like that we walk to the store and back home. It was nuce hottish weather and we didnt get cold even if we got a little wet, dpecially in the end where some big poddles were too much of a temptation for Margret so we just went for it :)
Now I am trying to plan the weekend ahead with as much fun as possible :)
We have another hero in the family :)
Today Margret went back to the kindergarden after being sick at home sinc Monday. When Siffi dropped her off in the morning she did not cry. BUT when I picked her up and she realized I was taking her away from all the fun she started to cry. So tomorrow she will just stay the whole day, no more "easing her into it"
On our way home we saw a frog, a tiny baby frog and that cheered her up :)
I havent had a haircut since I got here, that is for more than 6 months!!!!
Until today. Last week I walk into a hairsalon in Yoshida, next time over, and made an apointment. It was for this morning and now my hair is so much lighter, thinner and more manageable :)
In other news:
last Friday was a ceremony at Margret's kindergarden, starting the new school year. Afterwards we went to lunch with our friends and that was so much fun :)
This weekend we celebrated Easters with a dinner at our friend's house. Their grandchildren were there and Margret loved having some playmates. Sunday morning we had egg hunt around the appartmenr, so much fun :)
Then on Monday it was finally Margret's first day at kindergarden. At 10:00 Siffi got a call, she had fever!!! She had had a cough for some time and chose this day to turn into a fever. We went to the doctor, got medicen and have been staying home since.
Today she has no fever so tomorrow she will go back.
These few hours she was there on Monday she loved it and she cant wait togo back:)
On Minday morning I managed to go to the gym, do some cleaning and cooking and I am also looking forward to some time alone to study :)
We have another hero in the family. Today Margret went to the kindergarden again. She didn't cry in the morning when Siffi dropped her off but she did cry when I picked her up and she realized I was taking her home!!!
That was forgorten however when we saw a small frog on our way home :)
So instead of going home around 11:30 when she finishes eating lunch, tomorrow she will stay the whole day.
And now we are having snacks since she just woke up and then we are off for a walk.
